In online/Web3 environments where anonymity is guaranteed, there is a serious problem of one individual creating multiple fake accounts (Sybil) to distort public opinion or reputation.
At Repai, we have made the following specific improvements to prevent Sybil attacks.
Invitation-based signup + reputation linkage
signup requires an invitation from an existing user, and the inviter is partially tied to the reputation change of the invitee, creating accountability. This economically discourages multiple account creation.
DID linking and social authentication
Link to DIDs such as ENS, Lens, and BrightID, or authenticate social accounts such as Twitter and Discord to prove they are real people, and encourage only verified identities to engage in core activities.
AI-powered bot detection
AI analyzes activity patterns to detect and flag unusual account creation or behavior.
