Governance & voting mechanisms
In online communities, decision-making (governance) determines the survival and development of the community. However, it is not easy to make fair and reasonable decisions.

Repai adopts an Adaptive Hybrid Governance (AHG) model to maximize the efficiency and fairness of community decision-making by implementing voting that gives more weight to the opinions of trusted people to improve the quality and accountability of decisions.
Triple-Weighted Voting
Moving beyond simple one person, one vote, or one token, we're using a combination of three factors to calculate voting power.
Reputation Weight: A user's reputation score, as calculated by AI, determines how much influence their vote has. The higher the reputation, the greater the say.
Token Weight: Proportional to token holdings, but on a logarithmic scale to mitigate extreme wealth effects (skewed by capital).
Participation Weight: Incentivizes active participation by weighting based on previous participation in voting and governance activities.
The final voting power, which is a combination of these three weights, is calculated by the following formula

Purpose-Differentiated Voting

Instead of applying the same weight to all decisions, the importance of each weight (reputation, tokens, participation) varies depending on the nature of the decision (technical, financial, social, etc.).
For example, technical decisions are weighted higher (70%) for reputation, financial decisions are weighted higher (60%) for tokens, and social decisions are weighted higher (40%) for engagement.
This differential approach ensures that the right stakeholders are influenced by the nature of the decision, leading to optimal decisions in each area.
